Questions about an official Kittitas County record belong with the government office that created or maintains it. Sheriff reports and local checks go to the Sheriff's Records Division. Superior Court case files go to the elected Clerk in Ellensburg. Statewide criminal-history responses come from Washington State Patrol. The contacts below route common requests without treating this private site as a county office.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve, certify, correct, seal, or remove a criminal record, and it cannot accept court filings or official check requests.

Need an Official Record?

Send the request to the custodian for the specific record:

  • Sheriff reports and local criminal-history checks: Kittitas County Sheriff's Records Division, 307 W Umptanum Road, Ellensburg, WA 98926; 509-962-7525; fax 509-962-7599; sheriff.office@co.kittitas.wa.us; Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except holidays
  • Superior Court criminal case files: Kittitas County Clerk, 205 W Fifth Avenue, Ellensburg, WA 98926-2887; 509-962-7531; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • District Court matters: Lower District Court at 509-962-7511 or Upper District Court at 509-674-5533
  • Statewide criminal history and personal record review: Washington State Patrol Criminal Records Division through WATCH or the WSP fingerprint review process
  • Police incident reports: the city, campus, sheriff, or state patrol agency that wrote the report
  • Vacating or sealing a case: the Clerk or limited-jurisdiction court that entered the judgment

The Clerk supplies court records but does not disseminate a compiled criminal history under chapter 10.97 RCW. Conversely, the Sheriff's Records Division does not keep the Superior Court case file. Confirm the case or incident number before calling when possible.
